Visit the lovely town of St Emilion on this full one day Bordeaux wine tour. Visit 3 wineries and meet the wine maker over lunch on the terrace or in the cellars in Fronsac. You will enjoy a mix of history and innovation as well as first hand knowledge from the winemaker. Rolling hills, luscious wines and a delicious lunch make for a perfect Bordeaux wine tour. This is a group tour for 7 - 15 people.

Meet your professional wine guide at your accommodation in Bordeaux.

On the way to Saint Emilion your guide will give you an explanation about the Bordeaux wine characteristics and Classifications and the complexity of the different appellations on the Right Bank. Learn how soil and climate as well as the type of grapes can influence the flavor of the wine.

Travel through time with a guided visit of Saint Emilion, a medieval village listed a
UNESCO World Heritage site.

You will have plenty of free time to explore on your own and do some essential shopping.

After your visit head off to the vineyards of Fronsac for your first visit.

Meet the wine maker. Courageous or crazy? You decide. You will have the unique opportunity to get up close and personal with an owner of a small property in the heart of the Fronsac appellation. You will hear the story of how this winemaker started in wine. Now's the time to ask all the questions you have always wanted to know about buying a winery, making and selling wine. You will have lunch on the terrace overlooking the vines among the rolling hills (or in the cellars in inclement weather).

As Americans living in Portugal, we recently had the pleasure of touring Bordeaux with Decanter tours. Decanter put together an itinerary that included a history/food tour of the city of Bordeaux, and two days of Left Bank/Right Bank winery tours.
