Six of us shared two days in the Bordeaux region with Veronica. Day one was on the left Bank and Day two was on the right Bank. Veronica was absolutely the best! She was extremely knowledgeable, knew so much about the region, the appellations,, the Châteaus and the wine itself… Veronica was so much fun and so personable and our experience could not have been better. Shawn Augustine, Realtor8 days agoI had the big task of finding a company to help book a day of touring the left bank in Bordeaux while we were in France recently and I am SO glad we chose to work with Decanter Tours! From the very beginning they listened to what my vision for the day was and together we created the perfect itinerary! We visited Chateau Larrivaux where we had a great tour of the facility and their extensive gardens and enjoyed a beautiful lunch outside. We then finished the day at Chateau Giscours where we had fun with a sensory tasting experience. Our driver Jeremy was THE BEST, picked us up on time, shared history and information with us as we drove to and between our stops and even indulging us to stop at a Baguette vending machine along the way! After our tour, he even recommended a few places to visit in the Loire Valley, where we were headed the next day. Unlike other tours that feel and operate more like a mass commercial operation that is less personal, Decanter Tours takes the extra step of understanding your goals with the trip, the why, your background-relationship with wine. This communication helps you curate an experience unlike any other because it is designed explicitly with you in mind that is bespoke and intimately personal. Julie helps you design a trip around not just the appellations, but chateaus that you only dream of. What’s great is she is very transparent about likelihood and realistic on what is achievable on your visit. The constant communication and the iterations helps you build an itinerary months in advance that makes your visit so seamless and enjoyable. Our guide and chauffer, Jeremy, was more like an aide-de-camp with a vast knowledge of wines and Bordeaux. He made our trip all the more enjoyable and knew how to adjust based on our timing and pace. The conversations were more jovial and immersive rather than a cookie cutter tour. We saw more than just our itinerary but really experienced the terroir and the passion of the Bordelaise people with vinification. If you decide upon working with Julie and her team, see if you can also work with Jeremy. Beyond wines and chateaus, Julie also helps you navigate the culinary scene of Bordeaux and it is a treat to immerse yourself in the vast offerings the city and region has to offer. Michael McCoobery12 days agoOur day at Arcachon was amazing! Our guide and driver, Julie, picked us up at our hotel and drove us to the bay. There we boarded a beautiful teak finished boat which toured the bay, pointing out interesting sites and homes along the way. We stopped in a small bayside village for perhaps the bet oysters I have tasted. after touring the quaint fishing village we boarded the boat again and were served a spectacular seafood lunch. more food than we could eat. in the afternoon we motored through the bay, getting a great view of the Dune du Pilat. We made it back to our starting point, strolled along the harbor, stopping for a glace to top off the day. The drive back to Bordeaux was easy. Overall, quite a memorable day. Jose Padilla28 days agoAmazing experience and HIGHLY recommended. Our guide, Julie, was extremely knowledgeable, approachable and thoughtful. We were constantly impressed by her insights, tips and guidance. She made both me and my wife feel like there were no dumb questions (I am sure there were) and that we could ask her anything. The tour was also well structured and the hosts at each chateau were encountered were open-minded, friendly and passionate about their wines. All in all, this was a fantastic experience and one that we hope we can repeat in the future. We will recommend this wine tour company to all our friends back home!Posted on Google

What made it even more impressive was how quickly they were able to put together such a great itinerary for us at very short notice. Despite the limited time, everything was thoughtfully planned and exceeded all our expectations. Over the course of our three days together, Jeremy, our guide, was incredibly professional, punctual, knowledgeable, and attentive at all times. He made us feel very welcome and shared his knowledge of the Bordeaux region in such an engaging and enjoyable way. We truly felt that we were in the best hands throughout our time there. Jennifer Williams61 days agoDecanter Tours set up a wonderful 1 day Saint Emilion wine tasting tour (last minute) for my husband and myself! We had a young, fun & interesting guide named Thomas. He is very knowledgeable about wine & the region. Thomas’ English speaking skills are perfect. In addition to our two winery visits, we also toured the town of Saint Emilion & had a decadent lunch.
