Private One Day Ultimate Medoc wine tour from Bordeaux.

This very high end Medoc wine tour is not for everyone. A lot of folks ask us for visits only to the top chateau. Well, here it is.

Visits at Chateau Mouton Rothchild, Lafite, Margaux, Cos d'Estournel, Palmer and other great names are in store for you in this Bordeaux one day wine tour in the Medoc. Exceptional tastings and sumptuous settings along with excellent guiding services will make for a truly memorable day.

*The actual choice of chateau depends on the availability at the time of booking. 3 - 6 months notice is suggested. NB: Avoid August and Harvest time for this tour. Best booked in April - July. If your choice of chateau is not available, we will work with you to establish a suitable alternative.

This tour available Monday - Friday only.

Included in the Private Medoc Wine Tour:

All winery visits and tastings, transportation in a luxury Mercedes mid-size van with wifi.

Not Included:

Gratuities, accommodation, lunch, wines with meals, anything generally not stated in the itinerary.

Practical information

Wear sensible shoes and layers. Cellars can be cool and we may walk through the vines.

Each visit lasts between 1 to 1-1/2 hrs. and is conducted by an English speaking guide in the chateaux. The visits cover the vines, grape varieties, wine making and end with a tasting of several wines.

NB: Tasting sizes are small in France, generally 2-3 oz.

All visits are depending on availability at the time of booking.

** A supplement will be charged for pick-up outside Bordeaux depending upon location.

Start the day off with a bang. Visit and wine tasting tour at the famous Chateau Mouton Rothschild, First Classified Growth chateau in the Pauillac appellation.

Lunch in a delightful setting in the town of Pauillac. (not included)

Visit and tasting at Chateau Cos d'Estournel, Second Classified Growth of the St Estephe appellation.

4:00 pm

Arrive at your final Classified Growth, Chateau Palmer for a visit and tasting tour in the Margaux appellation.

Decanter put together an itinerary that included a history/food tour of the city of Bordeaux, and two days of Left Bank/Right Bank winery tours.
