This is a premium Saint Emilion and Pomerol wine tour for a close look at these wine regions.  Private cellar visits in family owned wineries, an extensive tasting of several wines, classified growths and a delicious lunch in a popular local restaurant are all included for a complete day out.

For your health and safety all our St Emilion and Pomerol wine tours are private.  We will not mix your family or friends with others.

Meet your guide at your accommodation

Departure for your first visit.On your way to your first visit your guide will give you an explanation about the Bordeaux wines, characteristics and classifications and the complexity of the different appellations  in the Saint Emilion region.  Learn how soil and climate as well as the type of grapes can influence the flavour of the wine.

Visit a family run classified growth estate in the Saint Emilion appellation followed by an extensive tasting of several wines.

Following the visit we will explore the village of St Emilion, a UNESCO world heritage site.

There is an opportunity to buy and ship wines home if you wish but no pressure to do so.

Lunch (include in the price) will be in a popular local restaurant in the tiny village of Pomerol. A local haunt of the winemakers and owners.

After lunch a visit to a winery in Pomerol tops the day off. Learn why Merlot from this region is so different from what you might think.
