The infamous Medoc wines, where famous names prevail. Chateau Mouton Rothschild, Chateau Lafite Rothschild, Chateau Margaux, Chateau Latour to name a few.

This wine tour is a full day Medoc tour with visits and tastings in several classified growths and lunch in another chateau.

You will finally understand the difference between organic and bio-dynamic viticulture and understand the impact of these two practices on the wine. We visit classified growths and a cru bourgeois.

For health and safety reasons our Medoc wine tours are all private. We will not mix your family or friends with others.

Depart for the Medoc. On the way, your guide will give you an explanation about the Bordeaux wines, characteristics and the Classifications as well as the differences in 8 appellations in the Medoc region.

Visit and tasting at one Classified Growth Chateau or a Cru Bourgeois. Another classification in the Medoc.

Lunch in a restaurant in the village of Margaux

Visit and tasting in wineries in two different appellations further up in the Medoc. By the end of the day you will have tasted wines from at least three of the 8 appellations if not more.

  My wife and I went to Paris for her birthday and we booked a day trip to Bordeaux with Decanter Tours...I did this several months in advance and Julie at Decanter was great with communicating back and forth to set up a customized tour for us based on the time we were spending there.  Upon arrival at the Bordeaux train station we were met by Janice, out tour guide for the day...to say Janice was amazing would be an understatement.  Her knowledge of the Bordeaux region, wine and Chateau's in the area was very impressive...we visited 2 different Chateau's that day and Janice could have given the tours as well as the representatives that greeted us at each Chateau.  Of course the Bordeaux countryside, Chateau's, and wine were breathtaking but Janice just really made it that much better...that day was definitely a highlight of our trip.
