So, when the opportunity to visit came up, I jumped at it and contacted Decanter Tours. We quickly found ourselves in the heart of some of the most storied Château’s. Veronica was our professional tour guide and resident Bordeaux Sommelier for the day. We spent three days with Decanter Tours while visiting Bordeaux at the end of May/beginning of June in 2025. From arranging tour days with Julie to departing from Veronica on the last day of our tours, the whole experience with Decanter was exceptional. I am sure we were able to visit chateaux with Decanter that otherwise we would have never been able to visit, such as Chateau Mouton Rothschild. Everything was easy and trouble-free. The time we spent with Veronica, our tour guide, was fantastic. Those three days really made our trip to Bordeaux. Our two drivers were also great. We were always on time and never felt rushed at any of our visits. And it was nice being able to taste the wine and not have to worry about driving. We are avid lovers of Bordeaux wines and we searched internet widely and came across Decamter tours. Julie customized the tour to suit our schedule and to meet our needs and provided us great details about exactly what the tour will be covering. The cheateaus we visited were exquiste and covered left and right banks and not just cookie cutter tours that take you to sanit Emilion and wine bars. She even accomodated us when we had to switch dates for our trip. Our tour guide Veronica drove us around in a nice car and picked us up from and dropped us off at our hotel. She was very knowledgeable and gave us information based on our questions. She was funny, witty and paid close attention to what we liked and what we did not and improvised accordingly. She also took us to a wine bar and intorduced us to a wine consultant Evie who hlped us put together a case based on our taste and budget. Overall we had an amazing time. We engaged Decanter Tours to arrange 3.5 days of wine touring around Bordeaux. We rented a Chateau in St Emilion. Our group of 8 friends from California had a spectacular time!! Every detail was carefully arranged by Julie-Prune with meticulous detail. In every tasting we were treated as VIP's and all the timings and logistics and meals were fantastic. We got to visit 11 wineries in just 3.5 days. All the best chateaus in each region. Julie was with us the final day and was fantastic and her guide, Veronica was with us the first 2 days. She was soooo delightful and everybody loved her and Julie!! Decanter also arranged to have a chef come in one night which was wonderful .
