Arrival Day

Transfer to your hotel.

Drop your bags and meet your guide.

An introduction to Bordeaux wine tasting in one of the hotel’s private lounges with your guide, with whom you will learn the Bordeaux basics before going out in the vineyards.  No need to go it cold!  With this knowledge, you won’t ever feel like a wine idiot again.

Day 2 Pessac-Leognan, Graves and Sauternes

A morning of cellar visits and tastings in a Grand Cru of Pessac-Leognan.

Lunch in a charming local restaurant.

Two visits and tastings in Grand Cru of Sauternes.

Day 3  The Great Wines of Saint Emilion

Cellar visit and tasting at a top growth a Grand Cru in St Emilion before lunch.

Free time to discover this amazing UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Two visits in Pomerol and St Emilion.

Day 4  More left bank, Pessac-Leognan and the Medoc

Visit and tasting at the infamous Premier Grand Cru Chateau Haut Brion, then on to the Medoc.

Lunch en route.

Visit and tastings in a Grand Cru in the Margaux and St Julien-Beychevelle appellations.

Day 5 Deeper into the left bank, Pauillac and beyond

Cellar visit and tasting in a Grand Cru in the Pauillac appellation.

Light lunch.

Two more cellar visits and tastings in a Grand Cru of Pauillac  and St Estephe.

Gourmet option:  If you are an epicurean, add two Michelin-starred meals and the ultimate Bordeaux  experience  will be yours! Don’t miss the opportunity to sample the sumptuous cuisine prepared by the new chef Jean-Luc Rocha (MOF) at Chateau Cordeillan Bages in Pauillac or the exquisite cuisine of Philippe Etchebest at the Hostellerie de Plaisance in St Emilion.
